About me
I am a registered psychologist with over 18 years' experience working in community health. I have worked with people experiencing a broad range of psychological and life challenges, and have developed particular interests in trauma, mental health, relationships and life transitions.
I believe that understanding a person's history, relationships and strengths is central to effective therapy. I aim to create a safe and respectful space where people can explore their experiences, develop new perspectives and find ways forward.
My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to each person's individual circumstances, needs and goals.

My approach
I take a warm, collaborative and trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing on evidence-based approaches including , and .
Rather than trying to argue difficult thoughts away or get rid of them, ACT focuses on changing your relationship to them, and on building a life around what matters most to you.
After something traumatic, a memory can stay raw and unfinished, so reminders of it still feel like the present rather than the past. EMDR uses a structured, gentle process to help the brain finish processing those memories so they carry less charge.
The ways we learned to connect with people early in life tend to shape how we relate to others as adults. An attachment-informed approach pays attention to those patterns and how they show up in the relationships that matter now.
I don't believe therapy is one-size-fits-all. I draw on different approaches according to each person's presentation, preferences and goals.
The therapeutic relationship is an important part of my work, and I aim to create a space where people feel safe, respected and able to be themselves.
